POV: it’s 2020.
You’ve been stuck at home for MONTHS, working from home on your laptop in between homeschooling the kids. You’ve baked too many loaves of sourdough bread, scrolled TikTok until you felt nauseated, and spent too much time worrying that the day will eventually come when you’ll have to fight a stranger for toilet paper.
Then… one day, you turn on Netflix and see a new show dropped: Emily in Paris. It looks cute, so you put it on. And next thing you know, you’re hooked. 2 days later, you’ve binged the entire show.
Suddenly, everyone on your timeline is daydreaming about being Emily. You’ve been stuck in your house in the same sweatpants for months, and nothing sounds better than traipsing through the streets of Paris in a beautiful flowy dress and a pair of gorgeous heels.
You daydream about strolling through a museum with a glass of champagne in your hand, wandering into a sweet cafe for a freshly-baked chocolate croissant, or falling in love with a handsome French chef under the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower.
*Sigh*
Fast forward to current day, and Paris has been on your bucket list for YEARS. Now that it’s safe to travel again, you’re dying to finally go visit and live out your Emily in Paris fantasy.
The only problem is… you’re also thinking about taking a river cruise. Well, I have some GREAT news for you:
You don’t have to choose between being Emily and going on a river cruise.
Unlike ocean cruises, river cruises don’t end in the same place they began. That means that you can add a 3-4 day adventure in a whole different city to either the start or end of your river cruise without paying for an extra flight!
For example, you can start your river cruise in Amsterdam where you’ll spend 7 days exploring one of the coolest cities in the world. Browse through the charming markets, admire the architecture, visit the Van Gogh museum, take a tour of the Anne Frank house, walk along the canals, enjoy a hot cup of Dutch coffee, or pick up some books at one of the many bookstores.
After the 7 days, end your cruise in Paris where you’ll have another 4 days to explore the most romantic city in the world! Visit the Louvre, eat all the amazing food, enjoy a picnic under the Eiffel Tower, sip coffee at one of the adorable cafes, get lost on purpose, and SO much more.
If you’re debating between taking a river cruise or visiting a city that’s been on your vision board for a while, a travel advisor (like yours truly!) can help you coordinate a trip where you get to experience both!
With my exclusive access to the river cruise lines, I can organize the perfect river cruise for you so you make the most out of your trip—save money on flights, hotels, transportation and more while crossing two dream destinations off your bucket list!
I’m here to help! Schedule your free 15-minute call or check out this article for more information about extending your river cruise with a pre- or post-cruise adventure.
Now, I’m off to rewatch Emily in Paris and daydream that I’m writing this to you from the patio of a cute little French cafe as I nibble on a buttery chocolate croissant and sip my espresso…
Are there any big milestones coming up in the next year that you’re excited to celebrate?
A river cruise is the perfect way to break away from the same ‘ole, same old and start a NEW TRADITION everyone in the family will enjoy.
Celebrate the next big event in your life with a special trip you and your loved ones will remember for the rest of your lives.
