POV: it’s 2020.
You’ve been stuck at home for MONTHS, working from home on your laptop in between homeschooling the kids. You’ve baked too many loaves of sourdough bread, scrolled TikTok until you felt nauseated, and spent too much time worrying that the day will eventually come when you’ll have to fight a stranger for toilet paper.
Then… one day, you turn on Netflix and see a new show dropped: Emily in Paris. It looks cute, so you put it on. And next thing you know, you’re hooked. 2 days later, you’ve binged the entire show.
Suddenly, everyone on your timeline is daydreaming about being Emily. You’ve been stuck in your house in the same sweatpants for months, and nothing sounds better than traipsing through the streets of Paris in a beautiful flowy dress and a pair of gorgeous heels.
You daydream about strolling through a museum with a glass of champagne in your hand, wandering into a sweet cafe for a freshly-baked chocolate croissant, or falling in love with a handsome French chef under the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower.
*Sigh*
Fast forward to current day, and Paris has been on your bucket list for YEARS. Now that it’s safe to travel again, you’re dying to finally go visit and live out your Emily in Paris fantasy.
